A Heartwarming + Generous Northcote Family Home

The Northcote family home of stylist Justine Murphy, her husband Bob, and children Jarvis (13), Frankie (11) and Delilah (7) is beautiful, but not precious. It’s one of those houses where everyone feels instantly at home.

Justine and Bob bought the Edwardian house five years ago, and have been slowly and sympathetically updating the space ever since. Original period features remain at the forefront, with added styling flair thanks to Justine.

Justine describes it as a slice of country in the city, filled with personality and people!

The Elegant and Serene Tamarama Home Of Tamsin Johnson

Tamarama is tucked between Bronte and Bondi Beach… aka one of Sydney’s most enviable beachside locations. Interior designer Tamsin Johnson and husband Patrick Johnson (designer and tailor of P. Johnson fame) fortuitously stumbled upon their 1970’s home here, and purchased it the very next day, before undertaking a complete re-design for their young family.

Tamsin and Patrick share this serene space with kids Bunny (18 months) and Arthur (3 years). A dreamy coastal delight, within arms reach of the city!

Sunnymeade Garden Open This Weekend

Thanks to our resident green-thumb, Georgina Reid of The Planthunter, we’ve been lucky enough to peek inside some pretty incredible gardens Australia-wide. Last year, we took a tour of Sunnymeade; an expertly landscaped property in Anglesea, belonging to Peter and Simone Shaw of Ocean Road Landscaping, who are in the biz of creating environmentally sensitive residential gardens.

You can see the splendor for yourself, thanks to Open Gardens Victoria, as Peter opens the proverbial door to Sunnymeade this weekend.

May is nearly here, and do you know what that means? Cinco de Mayo is just around the corner.

The Mexican holiday Cinco de Mayo—or May 5th in English—commemorates the 1862 victory of the Mexican army over the French during the Franco-Mexican war. Although it’s a minor holiday in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo has become quite the celebration in the North America, complete with festivals, parades, and delicious Mexican feasts.

You too can celebrate Cinco de Mayo this Saturday with a Mexican-inspired feast—and a meatless one at that. This Cinco de Mayo scrap the typical ground beef and instead make this selection of healthy, vegetarian dishes.
